Artist Bio
Member of Allied Artists of Johnstown, and have served on Board in many capacities... numerous times as show chair, and I am currently serving as treasurer. I enjoy oil painting, as well as a caricature artist. Work is displayed on my web site. I also teach adult drawing classes at the Community Arts Center of Cambria County, and I have served as a juror for local events.
In my early career, I apprenticed as a sign painter. The onset of computer generated signs in the early 1980's removed this field as a viable means of employment.
I am currently employed as Director of Advertising and Marketing for Kenco Corporation, Ligonier, PA. I am responsible for advertising, trade show design and construction, and numerous other projects involving artistic involvement. Of significance, I built an entire building from styrofoam for a tradeshow display in Las Vegas, receiving accolades and having it featured in Exhibitor Magazine. I have also designed and constructed winning parade floats, and assisted in planning and implementing local festival events.
I mainly use PhotoShop 7 and 3D Max in developing ad layout and for design purposes. I also use these programs to layout my intentions for paintings.
