As being a resident of Ligonier for six years, it was very convenient to just drive for 5 minutes and arrive at a large amusement parks. Although older children and teens, like myself, might become a little bored with the lack of large scale rides, little children will love it! It's a safe place to visit with a group of friends, and it's in a beautiful setting! Idlewild has an old fashioned feel about it that will warm your heart - and there's a good value for your money - you also get the H2O Soak Zone and Idewild Park for one price!
Pros: Safe, Pleasant Setting, An old-time feel
Cons: Expensive Food, Needs roller coasters

Idlewild Park is a must see when in Pennsylvania. I lived in Pennsylvania for 27 years and moved away and we always went to Idlewild park every year. Their story book forest is great and is a must see. Kids will love it and learn about all the nursery rhymes. You must see Idlewild park.

If you and the family just need to get away from life itself, this is it. I think whatever the age you can all get the fun we all deserve. With so much to do, you'll never get bored, maybe tired from all the walking around, but never bored. I think the prices are a little high but in my opinion it's well worth it.
PROS: It has a great picnic area for your food that you may want to bring.
